Abstract

The subject of research in this paper is the history of the Commercial Academy in Pančevo, a secondary school that existed in the period from 1924 to 1930, but also the High Commercial School, which preceded the Academy (1923–1924). We paid special attention to its establishment and termination, as well as its work, i.e. teaching, extracurricular activities, teachers and students. The paper was written on the basis of archival material stored in the Archive of Yugoslavia and the Historical Archive in Pančevo, but we also used the press data, published sources and relevant scientifi c literature.
