Abstract
Researching Southeast European history has a rich tradition and institutional support in Germany. This paper deals with the reception of the views on Serbian/Yugoslav history dominant in contemporary German historiography. By analyzing the reviews published in most prominent Serbian academic journals (Tokovi istorije, Istorija 20. veka, Balcanica, Zbornik Matice srpske za istoriju, Zbornik Matice srpske za društvene nauke) between 2000 and 2022, it attempts to discern how closely German historiography has been followed in Serbia. Special emphasis is put on the works of Holm Sundhaussen, Marie-Janine Calic, and Alexander Korb that sparked debate within Serbian academic circles.
